GMC has unveiled the 2026 HUMMER EV, an evolution of its groundbreaking all-electric supertruck, now equipped with enhanced off-road capabilities, blistering performance, and futuristic features. Headlining the upgrade is the much-anticipated King Crab off-road rear-steer mode, now standard across select trims and rolling out to previous model years via an over-the-air (OTA) update.

King Crab Mode: The Off-Road Game-Changer
King Crab mode amplifies the HUMMER EV’s agility with advanced four-wheel steering, allowing the rear wheels to pivot faster and more sharply than the front. This mode improves maneuverability in rugged terrains and tight off-road situations. It will be standard on 2X and 3X Pickup and SUV trims and retrofitted via OTA updates to 2022–2025 models, fulfilling GMC’s “Mystery Mode” promise.

“The refreshed HUMMER EV enhances an already amazing vehicle with new software innovations and forward-thinking design,” said Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer, GMC HUMMER EV.

Carbon Fiber Edition: Speed Meets Style
The new Carbon Fiber Edition of the HUMMER EV Pickup and SUV brings high performance with 0-60 mph acceleration in just 2.8 seconds, thanks to a powerful 24-module battery system and software propulsion optimization. Only a limited number of these will be produced.

Design highlights include:

  • Magnus Gray Matte exterior
  • Velocity Ember interior theme
  • 22-inch carbon fiber black wheels
  • Carbon fiber accents on mirrors, skid plates, and emblems
  • Spare 22-inch carbon fiber wheel (SUV only)

Electrified Utility: Powering More Than the Drive
The 2026 HUMMER EV adds bidirectional charging capability — offering vehicle-to-vehicle power transfers and vehicle-to-home support in emergencies or blackouts (with proper equipment).

Enhanced Tech: Smarter, Smoother, Safer
New Super Cruise upgrades now include Google Maps lane guidance, adaptive cruise control synced with speed limits, and enhanced lane-centering with hands-on driving support. The 13.4-inch infotainment screen features customizable views, while Google Built-In apps like Prime Video, Chrome, and GameSnacks keep passengers entertained during charging stops.

Class-Leading Power
With up to 1,160 horsepower and a staggering 13,000 lb-ft of torque, the HUMMER EV 3X Pickup remains the most powerful truck in its segment. The 2026 model also benefits from refined damper tuning for a smoother ride.

New Colors and Interior Themes
Fresh design options for 2026 include Coastal Dune and Auburn Matte exteriors, along with Granite Drift and Stealth Eclipse interior themes, enhancing personalization and premium appeal.

Availability
Production will begin later this year at GM’s Factory ZERO Assembly Center in Detroit-Hamtramck, Michigan. The 2026 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup and SUV will hit dealerships later this year. Pricing and estimated range will be revealed closer to launch.

GMC’s latest iteration of the HUMMER EV cements its place as a trailblazer in the electric supertruck space — blending raw power, intelligent tech, and off-road dominance.
