The new SolarEdge ONE EV Charger

SolarEdge Technologies, Inc., a global leader in smart energy technology, has launched a new solar-powered EV charging solution for commercial customers at Intersolar Europe 2025. The newly unveiled solution includes a dedicated EV charger for businesses, seamlessly integrated with the company’s energy management system—an advancement driven by SolarEdge’s 2024 acquisition of Wevo Energy.

Designed to enhance SolarEdge’s commercial and industrial (C&I) solar and storage ecosystem, the new offering enables businesses using SolarEdge systems to power their EV fleets with optimized solar energy. This innovation is already delivering substantial savings for early adopters, with one of the first beta customers reporting a 70% reduction in EV charging costs.

“Since installing SolarEdge’s PV and EV charging solution, we have managed to cut our EV fleet charging costs by around 70% – a substantial saving on our energy bill,” said Christoph Vogl, CEO of BV-comOffice GmbH, a leading German office retailer. “I’ve also been impressed by how adaptable the system is – it allows us to prioritize different vehicles, so we can ensure our sales reps are always road-ready, while other employees can have their cars charged by the end of the day. Our employees are also really pleased to be charging their cars with clean energy – it’s been a hit across the board.”

Introducing the SolarEdge ONE EV Charger

The SolarEdge ONE EV Charger, available immediately for commercial use and expected for residential deployment in Q3 2025, features a compact, slim design suitable for both single-phase and three-phase operation. It includes automatic switching, snap-on wall mounting, and multiple cable entry points, allowing quick and flexible installation in minutes. The product is further supported by ‘Olivia’, an AI-powered phone support agent dedicated to EV charging assistance.

Optimized Solar, Storage, and EV Integration

The solution integrates charging schedules with solar generation data and real-time grid electricity pricing to autonomously select the most cost-effective energy source—be it solar, battery, or grid—to power a fleet. Leveraging SolarEdge’s C&I inverter capabilities, which support up to 175% oversizing, excess solar energy can be redirected to EV charging to maximize returns.

The system also introduces tiered charging modes that prioritize critical fleet vehicles (such as those used by sales representatives) for grid access, while less urgent vehicles charge only when solar energy is available. Additionally, by dynamically adjusting EV charging based on real-time load conditions, businesses can scale up to 20 times more chargers without exceeding infrastructure limits.

Enhanced Energy Management Platform Rolls Out

Coinciding with the charger launch, SolarEdge also began the global rollout of its SolarEdge ONE for C&I monitoring and energy optimization software. The platform brings remote troubleshooting, live device operation, and configuration tools for maintenance teams, with real-time alerts to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.

“We’ve seen strong momentum in our C&I PV portfolio over the past year,” said Shuki Nir, SolarEdge CEO. “With the addition of our commercial storage battery, large scale 330kW inverter, and advanced energy management software, our offering is becoming an increasingly comprehensive and integrated energy ecosystem. The efficient integration of solar energy and public EV infrastructure is an important building block for more cost-effective and sustainable EV charging – after all, an EV fleet is only as clean as the energy that powers it.”

With this launch, SolarEdge continues to solidify its role as a driving force in the convergence of solar power, energy storage, and electric mobility for a sustainable energy future.
