TVS Motor Company Achieves Record Performance in FY 2024–25

TVS Motor Company reported its highest-ever annual revenue for the financial year 2024–25 at ₹36,251 crore, marking a 14% growth over ₹31,776 crore recorded in FY 2023–24. Operating EBITDA for the year improved by 120 basis points to 12.3%. Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose by 31% to ₹3,629 crore, compared to ₹2,781 crore in the previous year. The company’s Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹2,711 crore for FY 2024–25, up from ₹2,083 crore in FY 2023–24.

Q4 FY 2024–25 Highlights

In the fourth quarter ended March 2025, TVS Motor Company reported a 17% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations, reaching ₹9,550 crore compared to ₹8,169 crore in Q4 FY 2023–24. The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly Operating EBITDA at ₹1,333 crore, up from ₹926 crore in the same quarter last year. PBT for the quarter stood at ₹1,112 crore, up from ₹672 crore in Q4 FY 2023–24.

During the quarter, the company recognized the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) for the full year, aligned with the Ministry of Heavy Industries’ standard operating procedure. The Q4 Operating EBITDA margin was 14.0%. Excluding prior quarters’ PLI benefits, the adjusted EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 12.5%, compared to 11.3% in Q4 last year.

Sales Performance – FY 2024–25

Total two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales for FY 2024–25 grew by 13% to 47.44 lakh units, up from 41.91 lakh units in FY 2023–24. Motorcycle sales increased by 10% to 21.95 lakh units (vs. 19.90 lakh units), while scooter sales surged by 21% to 19.04 lakh units (vs. 15.70 lakh units).

Electric vehicle sales witnessed robust growth of 44%, reaching 2.79 lakh units compared to 1.94 lakh units last year. TVS Motor now has over five lakh electric vehicle customers. However, three-wheeler sales declined to 1.35 lakh units in FY 2024–25 from 1.46 lakh units in the previous fiscal year.

Sales Performance – Q4 FY 2024–25

In the quarter ended March 2025, total two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales, including exports, rose by 14% to 12.16 lakh units, compared to 10.63 lakh units in Q4 FY 2023–24.

  • Motorcycles: 5.64 lakh units, up 10% from 5.11 lakh units
  • Scooters: 5.02 lakh units, up 27% from 3.96 lakh units
  • Electric Vehicles: 0.76 lakh units, up 54% from 0.49 lakh units
  • Three-Wheelers: 0.37 lakh units, up 21% from 0.30 lakh units
