In a major milestone for sustainable transport, Volvo Trucks has announced the delivery of over 5,000 battery-electric trucks to customers across 50 countries, reinforcing its position as a global leader in the electric heavy-duty vehicle segment.

Since launching its electric truck lineup, Volvo’s fleet has collectively covered nearly 170 million kilometers in commercial operations. These deployments have significantly reduced CO₂ emissions and noise pollution, while improving working conditions for drivers worldwide.

“It’s rewarding to see that transport companies continue to embrace the benefits of electric trucks across a wide range of segments,” said Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks. “Our battery-electric trucks are available here and now, offering sustainable and smart business solutions. Many customers are now expanding their electric fleets with us.”

In addition to environmental benefits, drivers experience improved working environments due to significantly lower noise and vibration levels. Volvo also provides extensive support in energy optimization, financing, charging infrastructure, and after-sales service.

Committed to Net-Zero by 2040
Volvo Trucks is advancing a three-path strategy to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, which includes:

Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs)

This comprehensive approach positions Volvo to meet diverse customer needs across various global markets while accelerating the transition to a fossil-free future.
