In a major stride towards electric mobility, Mahindra today announced that it has successfully delivered over 3,000 units of its all-electric Origin SUV series—the XEV 9e and BE 6—since the official delivery rollout began. The announcement marks a key milestone in Mahindra’s mission to accelerate the adoption of clean, intelligent transportation solutions across India.
The XEV 9e and BE 6, which are part of Mahindra’s new-generation EV lineup under the Origin platform, have received an overwhelming response from customers nationwide. The booking trends currently reflect a 59% preference for the XEV 9e and 41% for the BE 6, with most buyers opting for the feature-rich Pack Three variant. Due to high demand, the waiting period has extended up to six months in select regions.
Mahindra has assured customers that it is actively scaling up production and deliveries to meet demand and reduce wait times. “We are committed to ensuring a seamless and rewarding ownership experience as we welcome more customers into the Mahindra EV family,” the company stated.
To make the EV transition more intuitive, especially for first-time buyers, Mahindra has introduced an exclusive ‘Default’ drive mode. This innovative feature mimics the driving dynamics of traditional internal combustion engine vehicles, offering a smooth and familiar driving experience that lowers the barrier for EV adoption.
In addition, each new EV owner receives a set of curated digital guides covering essential aspects of electric vehicle ownership. These videos provide step-by-step instructions on efficient charging, driving tips to maximize range, and an in-depth overview of the SUV’s smart connected features—helping users tap into the full capabilities of their new electric SUVs from day one.
