Volvo has taken its Cross Country concept beyond just vehicles, introducing an immersive winter adventure with the launch of a secluded rental cabin in northern Sweden. This announcement follows the recent unveiling of the EX30 Cross Country, a rugged, fully electric SUV built for both urban streets and the great outdoors.

A True Cross Country Experience

The EX30 Cross Country was revealed earlier this week from a remote winter cabin in Swedish Lapland, emphasizing the vehicle’s rugged capabilities and connection to nature. Now, Volvo is offering customers the chance to book the same cabin through Landfolk, a platform that curates handpicked holiday homes. For those seeking an exclusive Arctic retreat, the cabin provides a perfect setting for an adventure-filled escape, complete with a Volvo EX30 for exploration.

“With our Cross Country products, we aim to deliver an experience, not just a car,” said Erik Severinson, Volvo’s chief product and strategy officer. “This secluded winter cabin in Northern Sweden, surrounded by magnificent forests, rich local fauna, and an icy lake, gives you a taste of what that experience could look like in the form of an authentic Scandinavian outdoor adventure.”

An Immersive Arctic Getaway

The cabin, located about an hour north of Luleå, is designed to enhance the EX30 Cross Country experience. It offers cozy accommodations for up to three guests, featuring large windows overlooking a snow-covered landscape, a Scandinavian-style kitchen, and smart storage solutions for snow boots, skis, and other gear.

Guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, from dog sledding across the frozen tundra to exhilarating cross-country skiing. A curated list of recommended adventures will be provided to ensure visitors make the most of their time in this breathtaking environment.

Booking Details

The exclusive Cross Country winter cabin is available for rent from 21 February to 21 March 2025, with each booking allowing for a two-night stay. Travelers can reserve their spot through Landfolk, a platform renowned for its high-quality holiday rentals across Scandinavia and southern Europe.

To reach the cabin, visitors will drive approximately an hour from Luleå Airport, where a Volvo EX30 will be waiting at one of Volvo’s rental service partners.

The Future of Cross Country

By integrating vehicle ownership with a full outdoor adventure package, Volvo aims to redefine the Cross Country lifestyle. This initiative aligns with Volvo’s broader push to offer not just cars, but complete experiences that enhance the connection between people and nature.

With the EX30 Cross Country and its exclusive winter retreat, Volvo is inviting adventure seekers to embrace the wild—on the road and beyond.
