Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has achieved a significant milestone with its total sales reaching 65,603 units in January 2025. This includes 54,003 units in domestic sales and 11,600 units in exports. The launch of the Hyundai CRETA Electric has played a crucial role in boosting brand CRETA’s sales, which recorded its highest-ever domestic monthly figure of 18,522 units.
Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer of HMIL, highlighted the company’s growing presence in international markets. “We have reinforced HMIL’s position as a world-class manufacturing hub, registering a 10.5% year-on-year growth in exports in January, driven by stable demand for our products overseas,” he said.
Domestically, the Hyundai CRETA Electric, launched at Bharat Mobility on January 17, 2025, has made an impressive debut. The electric SUV is expected to reshape the segment, addressing range anxiety and supporting the mainstream adoption of EVs in India. HMIL is also actively working on expanding charging infrastructure to facilitate EV adoption.
With the CRETA Electric setting new benchmarks, Hyundai aims to lead India’s EV revolution while strengthening its global manufacturing footprint.
