In 2024, Renault Group sold 2,264,815 vehicles globally, marking a 1.3% increase from 2023. Brand-wise, Renault sold 1,577,351 vehicles (+1.8%), Dacia sold 676,340 vehicles (+2.7%), and Alpine recorded 4,585 vehicle sales (+5.9%).Renault Group achieved a 3.5% sales increase in Europe, outperforming the market growth rate by double. With 1,599,051 vehicles sold, Renault Group secured a podium position among car manufacturers, with the Sandero becoming the best-selling car across all channels.
Retail sales in Europe accounted for over 63% of the Group’s total sales, exceeding the market average by 21 points. Four models ranked among the top 10 in this category. The Group also focused on higher segments, with C-segment and above vehicles representing 30% of European sales. New launches included Renault Scenic E-Tech electric, Symbioz, Rafale, and Dacia Bigster, which will hit dealerships in spring 2025.
The Group continues its electrification push, with 34.7% of European sales being electrified vehicles (+4.3 points vs. 2023). Hybrid sales surged by 45%, now comprising 25.5% of total sales (+7.5 points vs. 2023). Renault ranked second in Europe for hybrid vehicles, with 40% of its internal combustion engine (ICE) sales being hybrids.
Electric vehicles (EVs) made up 9.0% of Group sales in a transitional year. Notably, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric became the top-selling EV in France in November and December, contributing to a 12% EV mix in the fourth quarter.Renault Group’s European order book at the end of 2024 represents approximately two months of projected sales. Looking ahead, the Group plans to launch seven new vehicles in 2025, including the Renault 4 E-Tech electric, Dacia Bigster, Alpine A390, and Mobilize Duo & Bento. The focus will remain on electrification in Europe and increasing market share in strategic international regions.
