Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the nation’s leading passenger vehicle manufacturer, is set to redefine electric mobility in India with the debut of its production-ready eBorn SUV, the e VITARA, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The global EV model, designed and manufactured in India, was first unveiled by Suzuki Motor Corporation in Milan, Italy.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing & Sales at MSIL, highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainable innovation, stating, “The e VITARA combines advanced electric technology with a customer-first approach to create a transformative EV experience. To promote EV adoption, Maruti Suzuki is focused on building a holistic ecosystem simplifying EV ownership for customers.”
To address charging infrastructure challenges, MSIL plans to introduce home charging solutions and a nationwide network of fast chargers at Maruti Suzuki dealerships and service centers. “Our goal is to make EVs accessible, convenient, and appealing to a broader audience,” Banerjee added.
Dubbed an “Emotional Versatile Cruiser,” the e VITARA blends cutting-edge EV performance with modern design, marking a significant step in India’s transition to electric mobility.
