Kia India has unveiled its much-anticipated SUV, the Kia Syros, a groundbreaking model that aims to set new standards in design, technology, and comfort. Built on the reinforced K1 platform, the Syros is tailored to meet the needs of urban drivers and tech-savvy adventurers, offering a blend of versatility and cutting-edge advancements.
Innovative Design and Comfort Features
The Syros incorporates Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, combining bold aesthetics with functional innovation. The exterior features the brand’s signature starmap LED lighting, a distinctive Digital Tiger Face, R17 Crystal Cut alloy wheels, and streamlined design elements that enhance its commanding road presence.
Inside, the Syros offers a first-in-segment experience with rear sliding, reclining, and ventilated seats, as well as a 60:40 split rear seat configuration for adjustable boot space. The cabin also boasts a 30” Trinity Panoramic Display panel, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, sporty alloy pedals, and ambient lighting, creating an atmosphere of modern luxury.
Technology and Connectivity: Redefining the Driving Experience
The Kia Syros offers a seamless integration of technology with over 80 connected features. The 30” display panel is designed for ease of use and integrates with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The vehicle also supports Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, automatically updating 22 controllers, ensuring the latest software is always available without a dealership visit.
Other tech highlights include a Harman Kardon Premium 8 Speakers Sound System, wireless smartphone charging, and real-time navigation assistance through a call center.
Safety and Performance: Cutting-Edge Features for a Safer Drive
Safety remains a priority for Kia, with the Syros featuring a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies. Equipped with ADAS Level 2, the vehicle offers 16 autonomous driving aids such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go. The Syros also includes 20 robust safety features, including six airbags, Hill Start Assist, and Vehicle Stability Management.
The Syros is powered by two engine options: a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine, both paired with manual and automatic transmissions. With a wheelbase of 2550mm and refined suspension, the Syros offers superior ride quality, balancing agility and comfort for both city drives and long journeys.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, emphasized the brand’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric design. “With the Syros, we are further enhancing our product portfolio, offering a new species of SUV that combines superior comfort, cutting-edge technology, and bold design,” he said.
The Kia Syros will be available in four standard trims—HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX—and two optional trims, HTX+ and HTX+(O), catering to a diverse range of consumer preferences.
With this launch, Kia India reaffirms its leadership in the automotive industry, offering a vehicle that pushes the boundaries of design, technology, and safety.
