In a groundbreaking achievement, VinFast, Vietnam’s leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, announced the delivery of over 16,000 electric vehicles in November 2024, marking the highest monthly sales record for any car brand in Vietnam in the last decade. This milestone brings VinFast’s year-to-date domestic sales to over 67,000 units, reinforcing its position as the top automotive brand in its home market.
November’s record represents a remarkable 40% increase compared to October 2024, with an average of more than 530 cars delivered daily. The surge in deliveries underlines the growing public support for eco-friendly transportation solutions and the accelerating transition to green mobility in Vietnam.
Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang, VinFast’s Global Deputy CEO of Sales, stated, “VinFast’s sales record in November 2024 reflects the strong momentum of the green mobility transition in Vietnam. It highlights the trust and enthusiasm customers have for VinFast. We remain committed to meeting the growing demands and expectations of the market.”
Expanded Service Network and Production Facilities
To cater to the growing demand, VinFast has rapidly expanded its service network, now operating over 120 service centers across Vietnam. This extensive coverage ensures timely customer support and solidifies VinFast’s position as the leading automotive brand in the country.
In a move to further scale production, VinFast hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for a new completely-knocked-down factory in Ha Tinh, Vietnam. The facility will focus on producing the VF 3 and VF 5 models, with Phase 1 expected to be operational by July 2025. The factory is designed to produce up to 300,000 vehicles annually, addressing both domestic and international market demands.
Driving Towards a Greener Future
VinFast’s November milestone and ongoing investments in production and service underscore its commitment to shaping Vietnam’s green mobility future. With a strong backlog of pre-orders and increasing production capabilities, the company is on track to achieve its global delivery target for 2024.
This achievement signals a pivotal moment for the Vietnamese automotive industry and sets a high benchmark for the adoption of EVs in the region.
