BMW and Kith have joined forces once again, unveiling their most exclusive collaboration yet: the 2025 BMW XM by Kith. Presented at Art Basel Miami, this limited-edition high-performance plug-in hybrid celebrates BMW M’s legendary legacy while incorporating Kith’s signature design ethos.
This marks the third collaboration between the German automaker and Ronnie Fieg’s globally renowned lifestyle brand, following the 2020 BMW M4 Competition Coupé and 2022 BMW i4 M50 xDrive partnerships.
A Tribute to Heritage and Innovation
The 2025 BMW XM by Kith, limited to just 47 units, reflects the 47 years since the debut of the iconic BMW M1. With exclusive details inspired by the M1’s design, such as side accent strips, dual rear emblems, and distinctive rear light louvres, the XM bridges the gap between BMW’s storied past and its electrified future.
Powered by BMW’s advanced M HYBRID drive system, the vehicle will be available in two exclusive finishes: BMW Individual Frozen Techno Violet metallic, a custom color never to be reused, and Frozen Black metallic.
Crafted for Exclusivity
The XM by Kith boasts bespoke design touches, from 23-inch M light-alloy wheels in Jet Black to an opulent interior featuring embossed Kith monograms on Merino leather seats, armrests, and velour mats. Each vehicle is marked “1/47” on illuminated door sills, underlining its rarity. A Kith-designed duffle bag, included as standard, stylishly houses charging cables.
World Premiere: 2025 BMW XM Kith Concept
The partnership’s pièce de résistance, the one-of-one 2025 BMW XM Kith Concept, debuted alongside the production model. Created by Ronnie Fieg, this unique concept showcases dynamic purple LED lighting, custom accent strips, and widened axles, embodying the pinnacle of creative freedom.
Historic Reimagining: 1981 BMW M1 E26 by Ronnie Fieg
To honor BMW M’s heritage, Fieg also reconstructed a one-of-one 1981 BMW M1 E26, finished in Techno Violet. Featuring design elements shared with the XM collaboration, the M1 serves as a tangible bridge between BMW M’s first and latest bespoke models.
Kith for BMW Collection
Accompanying the launch is a Kith for BMW apparel and lifestyle collection, blending BMW’s iconic design motifs with Kith’s aesthetic. The range includes premium jackets, T-shirts, and vintage-inspired accessories. A highlight is a 1:18 scale model of the 2025 BMW XM by Kith, available exclusively through BMW’s Lifestyle Shop.
