VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has officially launched its B-segment electric SUV, the VF 6, for sale in France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The VF 6 is the second electric model introduced by VinFast in the European market, underscoring the company’s commitment to delivering premium-quality EVs with inclusive pricing and exceptional aftersales services.
The VF 6 is available in two trims: the Eco, starting at €33,990, and the Plus, priced from €37,990. Both trims come with a class-leading 7-year or 160,000-km warranty, mobile servicing options, and access to a growing network of trusted partners in Europe.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Trang, CEO of VinFast Europe, stated:
“By developing the VF 6 on a dedicated EV-only platform, VinFast engineers have created a B-segment e-SUV that combines the functionality, safety, and technological integration typically found in higher-priced vehicle classes. This launch marks a significant step forward in the transition to zero-emission transportation.”
Key Features and Specifications
Designed by Torino Design, the VF 6 features a distinctive design highlighted by an illuminated V-logo on the grille, sleek aerodynamics, and stylish 19-inch alloy wheels on the Plus trim. The compact SUV measures 4.25m in length and 1.8m in width, making it a practical choice for urban drivers.
Under the hood, the VF 6 is powered by a 150-kW electric motor generating 330 Nm of torque. The vehicle’s 59.6 kWh LFP battery delivers a range of up to 410 km (Eco trim) or 379 km (Plus trim) on the WLTP standard. Equipped with DC fast charging, the VF 6 can charge from 10% to 70% in just 25 minutes.
Inside, the VF 6 blends style and functionality with sustainable materials, a segment-leading 12.9-inch high-definition touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a panoramic roof. Advanced driver assistance features, including Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities and a 360-degree camera, come standard.
Global Expansion and Ambitions
The VF 6 follows the earlier launch of VinFast’s VF 8 in Europe, with deliveries set to begin soon. The company has established 13 direct-to-customer stores across Europe and offers access to over 700,000 charging points.
VinFast is also expanding into new markets, including Indonesia, the Philippines, India, and the Middle East, as part of its 2024 strategy. Globally, VinFast offers a diverse lineup of EVs, ranging from the compact VF 3 to the spacious VF 9. In October 2024, VinFast was recognized as Vietnam’s best-selling automotive brand for the first 10 months of the year.
With its focus on green mobility and customer-centric offerings, VinFast continues to cement its position as a key player in the global electric vehicle market.
