Mercedes-Benz has enhanced its Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC, now parking vehicles twice as fast at 4 km/h. These improvements make parking simpler and more comfortable for everyday use. The system allows drivers to initiate parking via a digital button on the screen, with a status bar displaying progress. During automated parking, PARKTRONIC signal tones are muted for a quieter experience. For vehicles equipped with a 360° camera, drivers can select different viewing angles to aid parking.

Since the latest model updates, these features are standard in the E-Class, S-Class, EQS, EQS SUV, EQE, EQE SUV, and all Maybach versions of these models equipped with the parking package and reversing camera, with the 360° camera available as an option.

Safety remains a top priority. The system detects crossing vehicles, cyclists, or fast-moving pedestrians during reversing and provides visual and audible alerts. If the driver does not react, the vehicle can perform autonomous emergency braking, ensuring the safety of all road users. This applies to both automated and manual reversing from perpendicular parking spaces.
