Toyota Motor Corporation will participate in the ENEOS Super Taikyu Series 2024 Round 7 Super Taikyu Final Fuji on November 16-17, featuring the #32 ORC ROOKIE GR Corolla H2 Concept—a hydrogen-powered GR Corolla utilizing liquid hydrogen fuel.
In a groundbreaking move, Toyota will also unveil a concept model designed to harness boil-off gas, the vaporized hydrogen released from tanks due to heat exposure. While liquid hydrogen boasts higher storage density compared to gaseous hydrogen, boil-off remains a challenge for such systems. Currently, this vaporized hydrogen is vented into the atmosphere.
The exhibited concept aims to recover and use boil-off gas as energy, potentially boosting the overall efficiency of liquid hydrogen systems. Toyota is actively seeking partners to collaborate on advancing this technology and turning the concept into reality.
