Tata Power, a leader in India’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, has unveiled new EV charging stations in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The installations aim to enhance EV connectivity in the region, improving accessibility between key cities such as Sultanpur, Ballia, and Gorakhpur, and strengthening the route from Ballia to Lucknow.
The new network begins with a 30kW charger at Puneet Auto Sales in Ballia, followed by another 30kW charger at the Sarvodya Digital Library in Azamgarh. These locations serve as crucial points for EV owners traveling a distance of 130 kilometers. Additionally, a 30kW charger in Sultanpur at Motel Nh56 and a 60kW fast charger at Shalimar Corporate Park in Lucknow complete the corridor, enhancing travel options for EV users.
This initiative underscores Tata Power’s commitment to making India EV-ready by bridging the infrastructure gap and expanding its EZ Charge network. With over 100,000 home charger installations and 5,500+ charging points across 550 cities, Tata Power aims to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country. The network also includes over 1,100 bus charging points, serving major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore.
