Audi Expands A6 e-tron Family with New Rear-Wheel Drive and Affordable Quattro Variants

The A6 e-tron family is expanding: Audi is introducing an entry-level rear-wheel drive variant alongside a more affordable quattro option. Both new drive variants are now available for order, with the A6 Sportback e-tron priced at €62,800 and the A6 Avant e-tron at €64,450. The A6 Sportback e-tron quattro starts at €79,800, while the A6 Avant e-tron quattro is available for €81,450.

At its world premiere in July, the A6 e-tron was showcased in two versions: the Audi A6 e-tron performance34 with rear-wheel drive and a system output of 270 kW (280 kW with Launch Control), and the sporty Audi S6 e-tron56 with quattro drive and 370 kW (405 kW with Launch Control). The new lineup now includes a more budget-friendly A6 e-tron with rear-wheel drive and a smaller 83 kWh gross battery (75.8 kWh net), along with a quattro variant featuring a larger 100 kWh battery (94.9 kWh net).

The rear-wheel drive A6 e-tron has a system output of 210 kW (240 kW with Launch Control) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in six seconds. Utilizing 800-volt technology and standard DC charging of up to 225 kW, this model allows for quick charging stops. At a High Power Charging (HPC) station, drivers can recharge up to 260 kilometers in just ten minutes for the Sportback and 245 kilometers for the Avant, with a 10% to 80% charge in 21 minutes. The total range is up to 627 kilometers for the A6 Sportback e-tron and 598 kilometers for the A6 Avant e-tron, making the Sportback the most economical option in the A6 e-tron lineup.

The new quattro variant features a system output of 315 kW (340 kW with Launch Control) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. This model can also recharge at HPC stations, achieving a range of up to 290 kilometers for the Sportback and 280 kilometers for the Avant in just ten minutes. The State of Charge increases from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes, offering a total range of up to 716 kilometers for the A6 Sportback e-tron quattro and 685 kilometers for the A6 Avant e-tron quattro.
