Tech Mahindra, a global leader in technology consulting and digital solutions, has announced the establishment of a cutting-edge Center of Excellence (CoE) powered by NVIDIA platforms. This initiative aims to drive progress in sovereign large language models (LLMs), agentic AI, and physical AI, bringing next-generation AI applications to diverse industries.
Located in Tech Mahindra’s Makers Lab facilities in Pune and Hyderabad, the CoE leverages the capabilities of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform, including NVIDIA NeMo, NVIDIA NIM microservices, and NVIDIA RAPIDS. With this, the CoE aims to deliver enterprise-grade AI applications tailored for industries such as manufacturing, automotive, telecommunications, healthcare, and financial services. The integration of NVIDIA Omniverse further enables the development of connected industrial AI digital twins, bringing physical AI applications to the forefront of business innovation.
Project Indus 2.0: Advancing AI in Hindi and Regional Dialects
As a flagship initiative, the CoE has developed Project Indus 2.0, an advanced AI model powered by NVIDIA NeMo that specializes in Hindi and a wide range of regional dialects, including Bhojpuri, Dogri, and Maithili. This model is designed to support sectors like retail, banking, healthcare, and citizen services, offering an enhanced AI solution that reflects India’s diverse linguistic and cultural landscape. Future updates to Indus 2.0 will include agentic workflows, further refining its ability to learn, reason, and take action autonomously.
Revolutionizing Customer Service with AI
Tech Mahindra’s CoE is also set to leverage NVIDIA’s NIM Agent Blueprint to build custom AI virtual assistants for call centers. These AI-powered assistants are designed to support human agents in resolving customer issues more efficiently, thereby transforming the customer service experience.
