Both models, equipped with an impressive 190 kW (258 hp) output, boast top-tier acceleration and speed, reflecting MINI’s dedication to leading their class in performance and technology.
The new electric MINI 3-door accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, while the MINI John Cooper Works Aceman achieves the same in 6.4 seconds. With a top speed of 200 km/h and a system torque of 350 Nm, both models deliver a thrilling driving experience. The high-voltage batteries, with a gross energy content of 54.2 kWh, provide a range of up to 371 kilometers for the MINI John Cooper Works Electric and up to 355 kilometers for the Aceman, as per the WLTP test cycle.
“With the new all-electric MINI John Cooper Works models, we are bringing the legendary performance and driving dynamics of MINI into a completely new era,” said Stefan Richmann, Head of MINI. “We are combining the tradition and character of the MINI brand with the latest technology to create a unique driving experience that will thrill our customers.”
The John Cooper Works lineage traces back more than 60 years, with a rich history in motorsport that includes multiple Monte Carlo Rally victories in the 1960s. The legacy continues with these new models, which incorporate cutting-edge electric motorsport technology, including an innovative electric boost function for extra power during acceleration. Drivers can activate a unique “go-kart mode” with the boost paddle on the sport steering wheel, adding an additional 20 kW for overtaking and high-speed sprints.
Designed for agility and precision, the MINI John Cooper Works Electric models feature specially tuned suspensions and high-performance tires. The Chili Red braking system, emblazoned with the white JCW logo, ensures reliable stopping power even in demanding driving conditions. Aerodynamic elements, such as black side skirts, a rear spoiler, and exclusive wheel designs, emphasize the models’ sporty design.
Inside, the racing-inspired theme continues with a black and red pattern across the dashboard, JCW-branded seats with accent stitching, and a panoramic roof that illuminates with ambient lighting. The centerpiece is a high-resolution OLED display, allowing drivers to access key vehicle information, air conditioning, and media settings. The MINI Experience Modes further personalize the interior ambiance.
Safety and convenience remain paramount, with advanced assistance systems providing automatic speed and distance control, lane-keeping support, and parking assistance. The MINI Navigation package offers 3D visualizations and real-time traffic updates, while Parking Assistant Professional uses ultrasonic sensors and surround-view cameras for effortless parking.
The new all-electric MINI John Cooper Works models represent a blend of heritage and innovation, delivering high-performance electric driving with a nod to the brand’s racing roots. These latest offerings are expected to capture the attention of enthusiasts at the Paris Motor Show and mark a significant step forward in MINI’s electrification journey.
