BYD India, a subsidiary of global NEV leader BYD, has launched India’s first 6- and 7-seater electric MPV, the BYD eMAX 7. Designed to meet the demands of eco-conscious families, the eMAX 7 is a leap forward in electric mobility, succeeding the popular BYD e6 with advanced technology, greater performance, and enhanced comfort.
The BYD eMAX 7 is available in two variants, Superior and Premium, offering seating configurations for both 6 and 7 passengers. The Superior variant features a 71.8 kWh battery, delivering a range of 530 km (NEDC) and an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 8.6 seconds. The Premium variant, equipped with a 55.4 kWh battery, provides a range of 420 km and a 0-100 km/h time of 10.1 seconds. Both variants boast a spacious 2,800 mm wheelbase, offering unmatched comfort in the MPV segment.
The launch comes with a comprehensive warranty program, including 8 years or 160,000 km coverage for the traction battery and motor components, ensuring peace of mind for buyers. With a starting price of INR 26.90 lakh, the BYD eMAX 7 combines luxury, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology.

The eMAX 7 is powered by BYD’s state-of-the-art Blade Battery and features an 8-in-1 electric powertrain from the global e-platform 3.0. The vehicle’s design includes sleek Dragon-Face aesthetics, 17-inch alloy wheels, and Crystal Diamond Floating LED headlights, all contributing to its commanding road presence.
Inside, the eMAX 7 offers a luxurious cabin experience with features such as ventilated seats, a 12.8-inch rotating infotainment display, and a panoramic glass roof. Passengers benefit from spacious seating, multiple charging ports, and a variety of smart features, including voice assistance and a 6-speaker sound system.
