Kia India, one of the fastest-growing premium carmakers in the country, reported robust sales figures for September 2024, recording 23,523 units sold. This marks a notable year-on-year growth of over 17% compared to 20,022 units sold in September 2023. The newly launched Kia Sonet emerged as the brand’s top-selling model with 10,335 units, followed by the Seltos with 6,959 units, and the Carens at 6,217 units.
In Q3 2024, Kia India achieved sales of 66,553 units, reflecting nearly a 10% increase from Q2. The Sonet contributed 45% of the total sales, while the Seltos and Carens accounted for 28% and 27%, respectively, underscoring the growing demand for Kia vehicles among Indian consumers.
Kia’s commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative continues to drive global demand, with exports reaching 2,006 units in September. This success highlights the brand’s ability to deliver high-quality, innovative vehicles to both domestic and international markets.
Commenting on the company’s strong performance, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, said, “Our exceptional sales performance is a result of the overwhelming customer response during the festive season of Ganesh Chaturthi and Onam. This achievement is a testament to the unmatched customer experience we provide. As we enter the festive period, our refreshed product line, including the newly introduced Gravity trims, will drive high festival sales.”
