Ford Motor Company has announced significant price reductions for its BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system, making it more accessible to U.S. customers. Effective October 1, 2024, the new pricing plan offers greater flexibility, with the annual subscription reduced to $495 and the monthly option to $49.99.
In addition to lowering costs, Ford is simplifying access to BlueCruise for new vehicle owners by introducing a one-year plan or a one-time purchase option. Starting with 2025 model year vehicles, customers can opt for a one-year plan included as standard or as an add-on for $495. Alternatively, they can choose a one-time purchase for $2,495, ensuring they never need to activate BlueCruise again.
Ford will also continue offering a 90-day complimentary trial, allowing customers to experience hands-free driving before deciding whether to activate the service annually or monthly. This flexible approach lets drivers use BlueCruise only when needed, such as during road trips or holiday seasons.
The system will be available across a wider range of 2025 model year Ford vehicles, including electric, hybrid, and gas-powered models like the Ford Explorer, Ford Expedition, Ford F-150, F-150 Lightning, and Mustang Mach-E.
BlueCruise has been a popular feature, with over 492,000 equipped vehicles on the road globally and customers having driven more than 244 million hands-free miles in the U.S. and Canada. Ford’s latest price drop is expected to increase the adoption of this innovative driving technology, making it easier for customers to enjoy safer, hands-free driving on highways.
