Electric bike manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive began exporting its F77 Mach 2 e-motorcycle to European Union markets on Tuesday, with Union Minister for Heavy Industries H D Kumaraswamy flagging off the first batch. The company stated that these exports of the high-performance, made-in-India electric motorcycle will boost India’s standing in the global EV industry.

Kumaraswamy called Ultraviolette’s expansion into Europe a pivotal moment for India’s automotive sector, showcasing the country’s ability to compete on the world stage.

In addition to Kumaraswamy, Karnataka Minister for Industries and Commerce, M B Patil, and company officials attended the flag-off ceremony at Ultraviolette’s manufacturing facility in Bengaluru.

“This export launch exemplifies how Indian startups are innovating in critical areas like electric mobility, aligning with our government’s vision of positioning India as a global hub for EV manufacturing,” added Kumaraswamy.

Niraj Rajmohan, Co-founder and CTO of Ultraviolette, said the company’s entry into Europe underscores its commitment to delivering India-designed electric vehicles for global markets.
