BYD delivered 100 fully electric buses to CUTCSA, Uruguay’s largest electric public transit operator, at its Qingdao factory. This milestone strengthens BYD’s presence in the global commercial vehicle market and supports the advancement of green transportation in Uruguay.
The delivery ceremony was attended by key figures, including Juan Antonio Salgado, President of CUTCSA Group; Fernando Barcia, General Manager of CUTCSA; Martin Orlando, Minister Counselor of Uruguay in China; Deng Yuan, BYD Uruguay’s Country Manager; Zhang Lin, Deputy General Manager of BYD America’s Auto Sales Division; and Wang Bao Can, General Manager of BYD’s Qingdao Commercial Vehicle Factory.
CUTCSA commended the electric buses for their high performance, quality, and sustainability, reaffirming their commitment to fully electrifying their fleet by 2040 through continued partnership with BYD.
