Magenta Mobility, a prominent player in integrated electric mobility solutions, has reached a significant milestone by successfully deploying over 2,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in more than 18 cities across India. This accomplishment highlights the company’s dedication to promoting green logistics and enhancing sustainable urban transportation.
In a relatively short time, Magenta has built a fleet comprising over 2,000 three-wheelers (3W) and more than 250 four-wheelers (4W), strategically positioned in cities such as Gurgaon, Delhi, Manesar, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Plans are underway to expand into new cities, including Jaipur and Lucknow. The company serves a diverse clientele from various sectors, including e-commerce, courier services, grocery delivery, third-party logistics (3PL), and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), with notable partnerships with industry giants like Flipkart Grocery, Amazon UFF, D-Mart, Zomato Hyperpure, Delhivery, and DHL.
This substantial deployment of EVs represents not only a significant achievement for Magenta but also a crucial step towards reducing carbon emissions and supporting India’s national vision for green mobility. The company operates a robust network of over 90 charging depots and more than 1,500 chargers across its operational cities, positioning it uniquely to transform urban freight and advance sustainable logistics solutions.
Maxson Lewis, Founder & CEO of Magenta Mobility, commented, “The deployment of 2,000+ EVs positions us as one of India’s largest electric cargo fleet operators and reflects our firm commitment to revolutionizing urban logistics with green solutions. With 80% of our fleet now IoT-enabled and seamlessly integrated into Norminc, our advanced fleet management platform, we’re driving significant improvements in operational efficiency and vehicle tracking, setting new benchmarks for sustainable logistics.”
Looking ahead, Magenta Mobility has set ambitious targets to expand its fleet to 4,000 three-wheeler EVs and 1,000 four-wheeler EVs by March 2025. This initiative aligns with the company’s mission to decarbonize logistics in India, fostering innovation and partnerships that contribute to sustainable growth in the logistics sector.
