Noida International Airport (NIA) has announced a key partnership with Statiq, India’s leading electric vehicle (EV) charging network provider, to develop a comprehensive airside EV charging infrastructure. Statiq will oversee the entire operation of the charging network, from installation to maintenance, ensuring its round-the-clock availability. This infrastructure will serve both airport vehicles and concessionaires, supporting the airport’s sustainability initiatives and helping to reduce emissions throughout its operations.
The partnership will enable airport stakeholders to use electric ground support equipment (GSE) and other electric vehicles within the airport. In the first phase, Statiq will install a range of chargers, including 7.4 kW AC chargers for smaller EVs and 120 kW and 240 kW chargers for high-power, fast-charging requirements.
Nicolas Schenk, Chief Development Officer at Noida International Airport, expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting Statiq’s extensive EV charging network and its ability to ensure constant access to fast EV charging infrastructure, aligning with the airport’s commitment to sustainable operations.
Raghav Arora, Founder & CTO of Statiq, shared enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the importance of Statiq’s innovative charging solutions in advancing sustainable mobility and reinforcing their collective dedication to environmental stewardship.
This collaboration is a significant step toward supporting NIA’s ambitious sustainability goals, contributing to a greener future in India’s aviation sector and aligning with both global and national clean transportation efforts.
