The latest iteration of Ford’s E-Transit, the 2024 E-Transit with Enhanced Range, is now shipping to customers across North America, expanding its lead as America’s best-selling electric van. With up to 32% more range, now reaching up to 159 miles on a single charge, the van is poised to serve even more industries, including refrigerated delivery.
The enhanced model boasts a larger 89 kWh battery, faster charge times, and 2.4 kW of Pro Power Onboard, which can now be operated while the vehicle is in motion. The dual onboard chargers speed up the charge time by 22%, allowing fleets to maximize efficiency.
The E-Transit has been celebrated for its cost-effectiveness, with lower total costs of ownership due to reduced fuel, maintenance, and operating expenses. It was recognized for the third year in a row as the Best Fleet Value in America by Vincentric. The vehicle’s eco-friendly impact is also significant, having saved over 3 million gallons of gas and reduced CO2 emissions by more than 25 million kilograms, equivalent to planting 413,377 trees and allowing them to grow for a decade.
With these enhancements, Ford’s E-Transit is expected to expand its reach across industries and cement its status as a leader in the transition to sustainable commercial vehicles.
