Delhi’s transportation minister, Kailash Gahlot, praised food delivery gig workers as “pollution warriors” for their role in promoting electric vehicles.

At a gathering of thousands of gig workers organized by Zomato and Blinkit, Gahlot highlighted their essential contributions to the Indian economy and their dedication to environmental protection.

He encouraged gig workers to adopt electric vehicles to help Delhi become pollution-free. Gahlot emphasized that electric vehicles are not just a technological advancement but also a crucial step towards reducing air pollution. He called on delivery platforms to actively support this transition and promote electric vehicle adoption among their gig workers.
