Acura took a major leap forward in its electrification journey by revealing the Acura Performance EV Concept during the prestigious Monterey Car Week, an annual gathering of automotive and motorsports enthusiasts. Showcasing Acura’s vision for its next generation of all-electric vehicles, the concept model previews a powerful, performance-oriented SUV that is set to go into production by late 2025.

Developed by the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles, the Acura Performance EV Concept captures the spirit of Acura’s high-performance heritage with a bold new design language. Its distinctive styling includes a vented hood extending from the A-pillars, prominent side vents, and an aggressive front fascia inspired by hydrofoil superyachts. Finished in an elegant “Moonlit White Pearl” paint with a semi-matte finish, the concept also features a teardrop-shaped cabin, a nod to Acura’s second-generation NSX.

The electrified future for Acura is embodied in this concept’s long wheelbase, short overhangs, and muscular wheel arches framing 23-inch wheels wrapped in 295/35R23 performance tires. High-performance drilled brakes with Moonlit White four-piston calipers and neon green Acura scripting emphasize the vehicle’s athletic stance.

“The Acura Performance EV Concept kicks off the next step in our electrification strategy, highlighting the design direction of our future all-electric models,” said Mike Langel, assistant vice president of Acura National Sales. “Following the launch of the 2024 Acura ZDX, this concept represents Acura’s commitment to delivering exhilarating driving experiences in the electrified era.”

Acura plans to introduce an all-new electric model based on this concept in 2025, marking the first vehicle to be produced at Honda’s EV Hub in Ohio. Acura’s next-gen EV platform offers expanded design flexibility, pushing the boundaries of Acura’s signature performance aesthetic.

The Acura Performance EV Concept will make its public debut at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, followed by an appearance on the prestigious Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

With its sculptural design and advanced performance technology, the Acura Performance EV Concept sets a thrilling new course for the brand’s electrified future.
