Fresh Bus has secured a Rs 87.5 crore investment in its Series A funding round, led by Maniv with participation from Shell Ventures, Alteria Capital, and Riverwalk Holdings.

Previously, the intercity bus startup raised Rs 16 crore from ixigo. The new funds will be used to expand operations, enhance technological capabilities, and strengthen its strategic team to fuel growth. Fresh Bus will also expand its service offerings by introducing 15 new routes and adding 150 electric buses to its fleet in the near future.

“Fresh Bus is demonstrating that the widespread decarbonization of transportation is not a future burden but an already profitable economic opportunity,” stated Nate Jaret, partner at Maniv Mobility.

Sudhakar Chirra, Founder and CEO of Fresh Bus, shared, “Our goal is to deploy 1,000 electric buses across India within the next four years, generating thousands of skilled jobs and offering a sustainable solution for mass transportation.”
