Euler Motors, a prominent player in the electric commercial vehicle sector, has launched its new manufacturing and R&D facility in Palwal, Haryana. The state-of-the-art plant, spanning 500,000 square feet, is designed to meet the growing demand for Euler Motors’ 3W HiLoad EV, with a production capacity of 36,000 vehicles annually. The project represents an investment of Rs 100 crore and will serve as the company’s national manufacturing hub.
The facility features an advanced automated assembly line integrated with Euler Motors’ proprietary Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This system enhances production efficiency by meticulously tracking the vehicle lifecycle from production to delivery. In addition, the plant is equipped with top-tier commercial vehicle testing capabilities, including dynamometer testing, comprehensive shower testing, and a full-length testing track.
Key innovations at the facility include:
- EMS Hanger System: Automates vehicle loading and unloading at manufacturing stations.
- Trailing Arm Fitment Assist: Improves assembly ergonomics and takt time control.
- Vacuum Base Brake Oil Filling Machine: Minimizes spillage and contamination.
- Portable CMM: Ensures precise body accuracy checks during and after production.
- Dyno and Shower Testing Facilities: Conduct in-house testing to ensure vehicle performance and durability.
Saurav Kumar, Founder & CEO of Euler Motors, emphasized the facility’s alignment with India’s Make in India initiative, noting its role in advancing local production and innovation. “This facility not only embodies the government’s vision but also integrates cutting-edge technology and industry-first features in commercial EV manufacturing,” Kumar said.
Gaurav Kumar, Head of Supply Chain & Manufacturing, highlighted the plant’s role in setting new industry benchmarks. “Our new factory represents a leap in manufacturing 3-wheeler EVs, integrating advanced technology and stringent quality control to meet global standards,” Kumar stated.
The facility also aims to create significant value within the sector and generate job opportunities in the region. Currently employing over 500 individuals, including 20% women, it features a dedicated learning and development center, ‘Kamar-Taj,’ to address skill gaps in EV manufacturing.
