The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has announced a tender for the procurement, operation, and maintenance of a new electric bus fleet. This initiative aims to improve public transportation options in Thane while promoting clean and sustainable mobility solutions.
The tender specifies the procurement of 180 fully built, pure electric AC buses. This fleet will include 100 standard 9-meter buses, 60 standard 12-meter buses, 10 double-decker 9-meter buses, and 10 double-decker 10-meter buses. The contract will be awarded on a Gross Cost Contract Basis, meaning the contractor will be responsible for the procurement, operation, and maintenance of the buses. The estimated value of the project is ₹62,96,00,000 (approximately USD 7.8 million). Interested parties must submit their bids by the deadline of August 26, 2024.
