Odysse Electric Vehicles has announced a strategic partnership with SUN Mobility to deploy its flagship electric motorcycle, the Vader SM, in international markets. This collaboration aims to enhance the global reach of Odysse Electric and boost the adoption of electric mobility through SUN Mobility’s advanced battery-swapping technology.
The Vader SM will be equipped with SUN Mobility’s Smart Batteries, which are AIS-156 approved and can be swapped at SUN Mobility’s Quick Interchange Stations. The motorcycle features a 4000-watt electric motor, achieving a top speed of 80 kmph and offering a range of 130 km per battery swap. It comes with five drive modes—Eco, Power, Sports, Reverse, and Parking—with cruise control, as well as advanced features such as a Combi Braking System, Hill Assist, Energy Regeneration, and CAN communication with built-in protection circuits.
This partnership will utilize SUN Mobility’s battery-swapping platform under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model to improve accessibility and convenience for international customers, including those in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. The Vader SM will be manufactured at Odysse’s facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
SUN Mobility is currently piloting its swapping stations in these regions to address common concerns such as upfront costs, range anxiety, and long charging times for electric vehicle owners.
Mr. Nemin Vora, CEO of Odysse Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., remarked, “We see significant export potential in the EV market and are committed to advancing global electric mobility. This partnership with SUN Mobility enables us to expand our footprint and deliver our flagship product, the Vader SM, to new international markets.”
Mr. Ajay Goel, Co-founder & Executive Director of SUN Mobility, added, “We are excited to partner with Odysse Electric in introducing the Vader SM to global markets. This collaboration represents a major step in our mission to provide affordable, sustainable mobility solutions worldwide, leveraging our innovative battery-swapping technology to improve convenience and accessibility for electric vehicle users.”
