Our first ELON 3X, a 13.5-meter seater bus, is currently undergoing rigorous internal road testing. Preliminary results have been very encouraging, and we remain committed to continuing these tests to ensure comprehensive validation.
Following the success of our ELON 3X seater version, we are excited to announce the development of the sleeper model of the ELON 3X. This initiative addresses the significant demand from Indian customers for enhanced comfort during long-distance travel. Our innovative sleeper coach design prioritizes passenger comfort and convenience, distinguishing itself from conventional models in several key ways.
Our sleeper buses feature increased headroom, with each bed measuring 1.8 meters in length to provide ample space for passengers to sit up comfortably. The bus offers 36 beds and a generous luggage space of approximately 8 cubic meters. Available in 300km and 400km ranges per single charge, these options allow operators to choose based on their specific route requirements. The premium quality interior includes high-end materials and finishes, ergonomic design elements, and advanced amenities, all tailored to provide a luxurious and comfortable journey.
As the first in India to launch a 13.5-meter multi-axle electric coach, Blackbuck EV is committed to sustaining and building on our momentum. We believe that a multi-axle (3- axle) configuration is ideal for long journeys due to its superior comfort and smoother ride. The three-axle setup enhances stability, particularly on uneven roads or during turns, by distributing weight more evenly across the vehicle. By focusing on these advantages, we aim to deliver exceptional comfort and reliability for long distance travel, reinforcing our leadership in the electric coach segment.
We are pleased to report that Blackbuck EV has initiated pre-order bookings with a strong response from private transport operators. To date, we have secured Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with multiple customers based in India and one internationally—amounting to a total of 350 buses, including both seater and sleeper models. We are also in advanced discussions with potential customers and anticipate further bookings before the year’s end. Our goal is to accept pre-orders for 1,000 buses, planning to produce and deliver these within four years of starting production. Pre-order customers who sign MOUs, we will prioritize deliveries on a first-come, first-served basis.
We expect our first micro factory to be operational by Q3 2025, with full-scale production commencing by the end of 2025. This advanced production capability will ensure we meet our delivery commitments promptly and continue to fulfil the growing demand for our electric buses.
Our trademark service model, EBAAS (Electric Bus as a Service), is designed to enhance the customer experience through comprehensive support. Service is a key focus for us, and EBAAS offers a range of options, including Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and warranties. EBAAS encompasses the entire ecosystem necessary for transitioning to electric bus transport, including charging infrastructure options, AMCs, warranties, and training, all bundled into one package. Our aim is to mitigate the risks associated with moving to electric buses while maximizing fleet uptime and operational efficiency.
Additionally, we provide the EBAAS digital fleet management tool, which offers advanced features such as real-time tracking, nearest charging station locations, driver management systems, and service scheduling. This tool ensures our customers have all the resources they need to optimize their electric bus operations effectively.
