The MINI Cooper S 5-door model has been unveiled, offering more space and comfort without compromising its sporty essence. The vehicle is 172 mm longer than its three-door counterpart, with a 72 mm larger wheelbase. Despite its compact dimensions and a small turning circle of 11.4 meters, the five-door model remains versatile for city driving. The increased tire diameter of 625 mm enhances its visual presence and driving dynamics.
The model features a four-cylinder engine with 150 kW/204 hp, achieving a top speed of 242 km/h and accelerating to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. The combined fuel consumption ranges between 6.8 to 6.3 liters per 100 km, with CO2 emissions between 152 to 141 g/km (WLTP), placing it in CO2 class E. The precise suspension and damping system, along with the increased track width and longer wheelbase, ensure a high level of comfort and lively handling.
In the Favoured Trim, the MINI Cooper S 5-door stands out with vibrant silver design elements and the new Icy Sunshine Blue color. The model offers three contrasting roof colors, eleven body colors, and aerodynamic rim designs ranging from 16 to 18 inches.
Inside, the minimalist and innovative design includes textile surfaces made from recycled polyester. The Favoured Trim features a two-tone houndstooth pattern on the instrument panel and door trim. The interior also boasts perforated vescin sports seats available in Nightshade Blue and Beige.
The cockpit retains the puristic design of the classic Mini, with a round OLED display for touch or voice operation of all vehicle functions. The toggle switch strip provides direct access to essential functions, and the center console offers additional storage with wireless charging for smartphones.
New driver assistance systems, such as Parking Assistant Plus and MINI Digital Key Plus, enhance everyday convenience. Parking Assistant Plus uses 12 ultrasonic sensors and four surround view cameras for precise parking, while the MINI Digital Key Plus allows the smartphone to function as a key, offering seamless access and car sharing capabilities.
