Audi Unveils Ambitious Electric Future with Over 20 New Models by 2025, Including Groundbreaking Electric Vehicles

Spring marked a significant milestone for Audi with the world premiere of the Audi Q6 e-tron, signaling the start of an ambitious model initiative. By 2025, Audi plans to launch more than 20 new models, over half of which will be all-electric. CEO Gernot Döllner provided insights into the upcoming model launches and unveiled a preview of the new Audi A5.

Future-Proofing the Portfolio

Audi is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup significantly over the coming years. CEO Gernot Döllner emphasized the company’s commitment to a robust and flexible portfolio during the transition to an all-electric range. “We will expand our range of electric models step by step, while also rejuvenating our combustion engine lineup,” Döllner stated.

Upcoming Model Launches

Audi has a series of exciting model launches scheduled in the coming weeks. The next model family to be introduced is the Audi A5, set for its world premiere on July 16. Following closely, the Audi A6 e-tron will debut in late July, with the new Audi Q5 making its appearance in the fall.

Audi A5: Modern Sportiness with Premium Proportions

The Audi A5 family, premiering on July 16, marks the next generation of combustion engines, enhanced by partially electric driving. “The new Audi A5 represents modern sportiness combined with premium proportions,” said Döllner.

Audi A6 e-tron: Rethinking the Upper Mid-Size Segment

The A6 e-tron, debuting in late July, is Audi’s first electric model available as both a Sportback and Avant at market launch. Döllner highlighted its striking design, outstanding performance, and efficiency, noting that the A6 e-tron offers compelling reasons for customers to switch to electric mobility now.

Audi Q5: A Third-Generation Success Story

The third generation of Audi’s most successful SUV, the Q5, will launch in the fall. “The Audi Q5 has been a symbol of our success for over 15 years,” Döllner remarked. The new Q5 will feature both combustion engines and partially electrified versions, continuing Audi’s tradition of innovation and excellence.

Audi’s new models underscore the company’s vision for redefining “Vorsprung durch Technik” with a focus on design, UI/UX, driving dynamics, and efficiency. “With our new Q6 e-tron, A6 e-tron, A5, and Q5 models, we are clearly signaling the direction we are headed,” Döllner concluded.
