CHARGE ZONE, recognized as India’s fastest-growing electric vehicle (EV) charging network, has announced a significant expansion of its supercharging infrastructure. The initiative aims to cater to electric buses, trucks, and personal mobility vehicles nationwide, with plans to establish 25 new supercharging stations in the current fiscal year. This expansion is part of CHARGE ZONE’s strategy to enhance its charging capacity, targeting a total of 500 stations with capacities ranging from 360KW to 1.2MW.

Mr. Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of CHARGE ZONE, expressed confidence in the company’s latest efforts: “Our new supercharging network represents a major leap towards a sustainable future integrated with micro-grids comprising Solar PV and energy storage. By advancing EV super-charging technology, we aim to deliver innovative solutions across industries.”

The selection of routes for this expansion was carefully guided by factors such as geographical location, traffic volume, land availability, and grid connectivity. Notable routes include highways across Southern and Western zones in India, such as Bangalore-Chennai, Bangalore-Hyderabad, and Mumbai-Ahmedabad.

Reflecting on the successful trial phase, Mr. Hariyani highlighted the network’s efficiency and strong customer engagement: “During our six-month pilot rollout, we covered nearly 1500 kilometers and witnessed robust utilization by inter-city electric cars and buses. The average charging time at our new supercharging stations ranges between 15 to 20 minutes, significantly enhancing user convenience compared to traditional fast DC charging stations.”

Emphasizing the broader impact of the expansion, Mr. Hariyani added, “This rollout marks a significant milestone in promoting sustainable transportation. By expanding our supercharging network, we not only meet current EV user needs but also pave the way for a cleaner, greener future.”

To support sustainable energy practices, CHARGE ZONE’s supercharging stations will primarily utilize renewable sources. Integrated solar rooftops and battery storage systems will ensure a reliable green power supply, contributing to the transformation of national highways into renewable corridors.

Looking ahead, CHARGE ZONE plans to continue expanding its reach and enhancing charging speeds for all types of EVs over the next six months. The company remains committed to safety with 24/7 surveillance, emergency support, and efficient maintenance protocols.

Supported by partnerships with prominent automotive manufacturers and governmental bodies, including AUDI, GENTARI, HYUNDAI, MERCEDES BENZ, MG Motors, and TATA Motors, CHARGE ZONE aims to electrify 150,000 kilometers of highways and install 1000 stations nationwide. These initiatives underscore the company’s dedication to advancing EV infrastructure and promoting sustainable mobility solutions across India.
