Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) today announced significant changes to its board of directors and audit and supervisory board members at its ordinary general shareholders’ meeting. Following the meeting, the board of directors appointed new representative directors and directors with special titles, signaling a refreshed leadership structure aimed at steering the company towards future growth.
Key Appointments:
New Audit and Supervisory Board Member:
- Hiromi Osada – Former Editorial Committee Member and International General Desk at Chunichi Shimbun Co., Ltd., who retired on February 29, 2024, has been appointed as an outside and independent Audit and Supervisory Board Member.
Resigning Audit and Supervisory Board Member:
- Ryuji Sakai has resigned from his position on the Audit and Supervisory Board.
New Substitute Audit and Supervisory Board Member:
- Kumi Fujisawa – Currently Chairperson of the Institute for International Socio-Economic Studies, Ltd., has been appointed as a substitute Audit and Supervisory Board Member.
