In a big push for electric vehicles (EVs) in India, Volvo Car India has crossed a major milestone by delivering over 1,000 electric cars. Their journey began in late 2022 with the XC40 Recharge, India’s first locally made luxury electric SUV.
They currently offer three EV models and sell them directly through their website. To mark this achievement and their commitment to electric, they announced plans to release a new electric vehicle every year until their entire lineup is electric by 2030.
Their focus on electric vehicles seems to be paying off, with electric models making up a significant portion of their sales.
