Incharz, an EV charge point operator, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 3ECO, a producer of L-3 and L-5 cargo vehicles and an EV cargo fleet operator, to establish exclusive EV charging stations for 3ECO’s fleet throughout India. This initiative aims to create a nationwide EV charging network, strategically positioned to meet the needs of 3ECO’s vehicles.
The EV charging stations will accommodate approximately 200-300 EV cargo vehicles daily, with a target to serve 1,000 of 3ECO’s cargo vehicles by the end of 2024.
Incharz’s involvement will significantly boost the adoption of EVs, promoting green mobility and contributing to a more sustainable future. 3ECO will provide fleet hubs for Incharz to establish the EV charging stations. Incharz will handle the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of these stations at various locations throughout India.
The stations will incorporate advanced technology to ensure efficient charging and will support multiple charging standards, making them compatible with various EV models for optimal accessibility and convenience.
Neeraj Gupta, AVP Operations at Incharz, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with 3ECO, highlighting Incharz’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in EV charging.
Gupta stated, “This collaboration underscores our strategic pivot to expand our reach across major Indian cities, establishing a robust network. We aim to explore opportunities with bus operators, large fleet operators, and develop infrastructure for truck charging along highways, reinforcing our role as a key player in the electrification of transportation infrastructure.”
