Toyota Motor Corporation introduces the “250” series to its Land Cruiser lineup in Japan, alongside the limited “First Edition” models ZX and VX. With a focus on robust off-road performance, these models aim to return to the Land Cruiser’s foundational values, offering reliability and ease of handling.
The “250” series, sharing the GA-F platform with the “300” series, incorporates electric power steering (EPS) and Stabilizer with Disconnection Mechanism (SDM) for enhanced driving dynamics both on and off-road. Equipped with two powertrain options, including a 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine and a 2.7-liter gasoline engine, the “250” series ensures powerful yet environmentally friendly performance. With features like full-time 4WD and electric rear differential lock, it promises exceptional off-road capabilities while maintaining driving stability.
To mark the debut of the “250” series, Toyota is offering the commemorative ZX “First Edition” and VX “First Edition” special editions, embodying the Land Cruiser’s original ethos. Limited to 8,000 units, these models celebrate the essence of the Land Cruiser heritage.
