KIA EV9 Scores Dual Triumph at 2024 World Car Awards

The 2024 Kia EV9 has registered a double victory at the 2024 World Car Awards. The EV9 has been crowned World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle.

Chosen by a panel of 100 illustrious automotive journalists from 29 countries, the World Car Awards hailed the Kia EV9 for its groundbreaking design, expansive seven-seat interior, and competitive pricing. Built on the E-GMP platform, the EV9 is Kia’s pioneer model featuring fourth-generation battery technology, enhancing its overall performance capabilities.

Established in 2003, the World Car Awards hold global recognition as the benchmark for automotive excellence and leadership, commemorating remarkable achievements in an ever-evolving automotive landscape. Before the 2024 ceremony, Kia had already claimed three victories at the World Car Awards, with the Telluride winning World Car of the Year and the Soul EV securing World Urban Car in 2020, alongside the Kia EV6 GT being honored as World Performance Car of the Year in 2023.
