BMW Launches iX xDrive50 Electric SUV In India

BMW has introduced the iX xDrive50 in India, priced at Rs 1.39 crore, ex-showroom. This new all-electric BMW model will be sold through BMW showrooms in India as CBUs. The SUV is offered in Mineral White, Phytonic Blue, Black Sapphire, Aventurine Red, and Oxide Grey paint options, with an additional option of Storm Bay Metallic paint finish.

Regarding its design and features, the iX xDrive50 showcases the iconic BMW kidney grille and muscular lines for a distinctive appearance. Notably, it boasts the ‘narrowest BMW headlight ever’ and comes with standard 22-inch wheels. The SUV also features frameless doors, and customers have the option to customize it with a Titanium Bronze finish.

Inside, the vehicle includes BMW’s Laserlight technology with adaptive headlights and a curved glass display that integrates the infotainment system, certain car functionalities, and the instrument cluster. Additional interior features comprise a panoramic glass roof, massage function-equipped seats, and more.

In terms of technology, the SUV is equipped with a Head-Up Display (HUD), BMW ConnectedDrive suite, BMW Personal Assistant, electrically adjustable and ventilated seats, an 18-speaker Harman Kardon system, wireless charging, parking assist, lane keep assist, surround camera, blind-spot assist, and more.

Powering the iX xDrive50 is a 111.5 kWh battery pack generating 516 bhp and 765 Nm of torque. The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds and has a claimed WLTP range of 635 km. Charging options include a 22 kW wall box charger (5.5 hours for a full charge), DC fast charging (35 minutes for 10-80% charge), and various AC charging options.
