Kia India, a leading automotive manufacturer renowned for its premium vehicles, has disclosed plans for a price adjustment of up to 3% across its entire range of mass models, including the Seltos, Sonet, and Carens, effective April 1, 2024. This decision comes in response to the ongoing surge in commodity prices and supply chain-related inputs. It signifies the company’s first price modification for the year.

Addressing the impending price adjustment, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, stated, “At Kia, our commitment remains steadfast in delivering top-notch, technologically advanced products to our valued customers. However, given the sustained rise in commodity prices, unfavorable exchange rates, and escalating input costs, we find it necessary to implement a partial price hike. Nonetheless, Kia is absorbing a considerable portion of the increase, ensuring that our customers can continue to enjoy their preferred Kia vehicles without experiencing a significant impact on their budgets.”

Kia has achieved notable sales milestones, with approximately 1.16 million units sold both in India and international markets combined. Among its standout models, the Seltos has emerged as a best-seller, surpassing 613,000 unit sales, followed by the Sonet with over 395,000 units sold, and the Carens with 159,000 units sold.
