Yuma Energy Hits Milestone: 10 Million Battery Swaps In One Year

Yuma Energy, the battery-as-a-service (BaaS) company launched through a partnership between Magna and Yulu, has accomplished 10 million battery swaps, marking a significant milestone within its first year of operation.

With over 125 Yuma stations conducting 800,000 swaps monthly, the company has become one of India’s largest and fastest-growing BaaS networks.

In 2023 alone, Yuma facilitated over 250 million kilometers of eco-friendly rides. The achievement coincides with the company’s first anniversary, showcasing its rapid growth and commitment to providing efficient and sustainable battery solutions in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Gurugram.

Muthu Subramanian, General Manager and Managing Director of Yuma Energy expressed pride in the team’s dedication, technological infrastructure, and collaborative partnerships, setting high standards in the Indian BaaS industry.

Looking ahead, Yuma plans to form strategic partnerships with OEMs and mobility operators, focusing on intelligent and data-driven expansion of their swapping stations to contribute to the growth of the BaaS category in India.
