In a significant development, Servotech Power Systems Ltd., a prominent EV charger manufacturer in India, has successfully clinched a major order worth 120 Crores for the supply of 1800 DC Fast EV Chargers from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). This ambitious project is set to propel the growth of the EV charging infrastructure in the country and is a crucial component of the BPCL E-drive Project.

Under this groundbreaking deal, Servotech Power Systems will handle the manufacturing, supplying, installing, and strategic deployment of 1800 EV chargers throughout the nation, with a focus on BPCL petrol pumps in major cities. The project, which encompasses two charger variants – 60 kW and 120 kW, is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. This initiative aligns with the broader goal of promoting widespread adoption of electric vehicles and establishing e-mobility touchpoints for improved accessibility and convenience.

Sarika Bhatia, Director of Servotech Power Systems Ltd., expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership with BPCL, stating, “We take immense pride in accelerating India’s E-Mobility revolution in collaboration with BPCL. Our partnership focuses on establishing a dynamic EV charging network that makes EV charging accessible for EV owners nationwide.”

Servotech Power Systems has already been a key player in the Indian EV charging landscape, having successfully supplied 4000 EV chargers across the country as of January 2024. The company’s commitment to supporting India’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable transportation is evident through its active involvement in developing a robust EV charging infrastructure.

Sarika Bhatia highlighted the strategic importance of this initiative, saying, “Our active support ensures the nation’s smooth transition toward a cleaner and more sustainable transportation ecosystem. This strategic initiative not only represents a significant milestone but also paves the way for a robust and expansive charging network, essential for the future of high-capacity and rapid EV charging.”

This collaboration between Servotech Power Systems and BPCL is not the first of its kind. The companies had previously joined forces to transform the E-Mobility landscape by securing an order for 2649 AC EV Chargers, currently in the process of installation at various locations across the country for BPCL’s E-drive project. Servotech has already completed 36% of the supply and installation, with the entire project scheduled for completion by March 2024. As India embraces electric mobility, such collaborations are poised to play a pivotal role in the nation’s journey towards becoming an EV-powered nation.
