Toyota Kirloskar Motor to Showcase Cutting-Edge Green Technologies at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024

As India eagerly anticipates the inaugural Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, the event is set to make history as the first-ever global mobility show in the country, bringing together the entire value chain to showcase the capabilities of Indian manufacturing in the mobility space. The expo will feature cutting-edge green vehicle technologies, infrastructure support systems, urban mobility solutions, and connected and autonomous capabilities. It aims to position India as an emerging hub of automotive manufacturing for advanced and green technologies, highlighting the country’s pivotal role in shaping the future of mobility on a global scale.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is gearing up to participate in this landmark event, presenting its advanced green technology product line-up and localization efforts under the theme “Grow India – Grow with India.” The company’s pavilion will showcase a diverse range of vehicle technologies, including Battery Electric and Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicles, emphasizing the localization of electric powertrain parts in India. The exhibit will also feature a Fuel-Cell Electric Vehicle, promising a cleaner and greener future, an Electrified Flexi Fuel Vehicle supporting a rapid transition away from fossil fuels, and CNG vehicles. Additionally, an emergency response vehicle will be on display, addressing unique solutions for societal requirements, including the Indian armed forces, along with initiatives focused on localization and sustainability.

Expressing enthusiasm about the company’s participation, Mr. Vikram Gulati, Country Head and Executive Vice President, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, stated, “As we gear up for the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, Toyota Kirloskar Motor is thrilled to be part of this event. Toyota’s pavilion aims to demonstrate the company’s commitment to supporting the government’s priorities, achieving self-reliance, and energy independence through various green technology options. The showcase aligns with Toyota’s dedication to localizing and enhancing skills, contributing to the country’s growth and building the foundation for a sustainable future.

Over its 25 years of operations in India, Toyota has prioritized meeting the mobility needs of its consumers. With a strong focus on customer delight, the company has earned the trust of over 2.3 million customers. Toyota has also played a key role in skilling students from rural areas and other stakeholders, benefiting over 1,40,000 individuals. The company actively promotes Make in India, with its main products, Innova and Fortuner, highly localized with around 90% localization based on the value of parts and raw materials.
