Ryvid, an Electric Light Mobility company, has been dedicated to producing efficient, lightweight, and eco-friendly vehicles since its establishment in 2021. After unveiling the prototype of its inaugural product, the Anthem electric motorcycle, in June 2022, Ryvid successfully delivered the first production model in September 2023. The company is now in full swing at its new manufacturing facility in San Bernardino, CA, thanks in part to a grant from the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development.
The grant, received through the California Competes Program, has played a significant role in Ryvid’s rapid success, enabling the hiring of key personnel, expediting product development, and meeting the growing demand for its affordable and highway-capable electric commuter motorcycle.
Founder and automotive designer Dong Tran has outlined a master plan for 2024, involving the completion of the San Bernardino factory and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This milestone will not only support increased production of the Anthem model but also pave the way for the introduction of new models, emphasizing accessibility, innovation, sustainability, and community.
The Ryvid Anthem, a lightweight electric motorcycle designed for both commuters and adventure enthusiasts, stands out with its stainless steel folded sheet metal frame and patent-pending electrically adjustable seat height. Weighing only 313 lb, it features a 4.3 kWh lithium-ion battery, a 3.3 kW charger, and a 72V air-cooled brushless DC motor, providing a range of 75 miles under urban driving conditions. The motorcycle’s unique features, including a speed-limited reverse gear, cater to both novice and experienced riders.
With production now streamlined at its American-based facility, Ryvid aims to maintain a responsive and adaptable manufacturing process, prioritizing growth while focusing on the core values of accessibility, innovation, sustainability, and community.
The Ryvid Anthem, priced at $8,995, boasts high-performance brakes, suspension, and Pirelli tires, providing riders with exceptional control and satisfaction. Additionally, the company’s commitment to a low cost of ownership is reflected in minimal maintenance needs, affordable charging, and a reduced parts list for ease of repairs.
Looking ahead, Ryvid is set to unveil new models, with the first announcement expected in the Spring/Summer. These models are anticipated to further showcase the company’s dedication to accessibility, innovation, sustainability, and community, challenging traditional motorcycle manufacturing concepts.
During the CES 2024, Ryvid showcased an enhanced version of the Anthem, powered by Weel, in the Amazon Experience Area. This modification attracted significant attention at the event, drawing interest from attendees keen on the latest developments in electric vehicle technology. Ryvid looks forward to exploring advanced Weel innovations in the future.
