Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hyderabad-based Trinity Cleantech have forged a partnership to establish exclusive DC fast-charging points for two- and three-wheelers in Uttar Pradesh.
The initial three-year agreement, extendable for an additional two years, will focus on cities such as Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Noida, Saharanpur, and Agra for the deployment of DC Fast Charging Stations at BPCL outlets in the state.
Rahul Tandon, Chief General Manager (Marketing) Retail at BPCL, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing diverse energy solutions for personal and commercial mobility. This collaboration marks a crucial step in promoting electric vehicle adoption in Uttar Pradesh, aligning with the energy transition toward clean mobility.
Under the understanding, Trinity Cleantech (TCPL) will assume responsibility for establishing EV fast-charging stations at BPCL Retail Outlets, adhering to BPCL standards and Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) norms for civil and electrical work.
The co-branded DC fast chargers will be installed in BPCL outlets across major cities in Uttar Pradesh. TCPL, with over 800 EV Charging Stations in the country, will handle demand generation, customer complaint management, and the operations and maintenance of the fast chargers.
Rajkumar Medimi, Chief Executive Officer of TCPL, expressed the significance of accessing BPCL’s extensive network of petrol pumps, anticipating that the partnership will boost EV adoption and contribute to environmental improvements by addressing vehicular pollution.
