GreenCell Mobility, a prominent provider of electric mobility solutions, has been selected by the Director of Urban Transport to partner in deploying 150 intra-city electric buses in Ayodhya for the significant consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir.
This fleet is set to play a crucial role in providing transportation services within Ayodhya for an estimated 2 million devotees from mid-January to the end of February.
The deployment aims to significantly reduce the carbon footprint, avoiding approximately over 600 tonnes of tailpipe emissions per month. The e-buses were inaugurated in Ayodhya by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on January 14, 2024.
Devndra Chawla, CEO & MD of GreenCell Mobility, expressed excitement about contributing to Ayodhya’s transformation into an eco-friendly tourist hub and emphasized their commitment to promoting sustainable transportation solutions.
GreenCell Mobility claims to have deployed over 700 buses in Uttar Pradesh, resulting in saving over 22,000 tonnes of tailpipe emissions annually.
